Is So Familiar A Gleam: Finally Making Up.

the-gleam-in-your-eyes:

Sitting in the parlor, the princess found herself attempting to sew. Ever since she had been bedridden from her last run-in with Maleficent, she had finally taken up the hobby. She wasn’t very skilled in it, much to Phillip’s amusement, but at least it helped take her mind off of troublesome…

She couldn’t believe the words she’d just heard come from her friend’s mouth. She stayed as she was, still, frozen, just as the poor infant would be. Moments passed before she felt like she could breathe again and she moved towards Aurora. Placing her arms around her friend, she pulled her in close and hugged her. It was the only thing she could think of that might comfort her friend even the slightest.

Words were not going to cure anything at this point. Actions always speak louder than words; thus, with silence, Cinderella sat there, holding her best friend and listening to her soft sobs.

Finally, Cinderella spoke. “Maybe…Maybe this is a good thing. Please, don’t get me wrong, but perhaps Mal will be lying low from now on…or at least for awhile…” How was it that after all this, she could still try to find some good in even the most awful people? She knew it would not rest easy with Aurora…yet for that same reason, she felt compelled to tell her everything was going to be okay.

Finally Making Up.

Tears streamed down her face as she hugged her best friend tightly. After their embrace, she chuckled a little at the emotional reunion.

“So…do tell me, how is Phillip, and the baby, and heavens, dear, how are you?!”

She laughed a bit shakily, wiping at her cheeks. Who would have known it could have been so easy to make up? Of course it was, it’s always been easy to make up.

“Well, Phillip died- but he’s alive now! Just nursing a fever. And I had a run-in with Maleficent, and the baby is erm,” she gulped, biting the inside of her cheek and turning away.

“How about you sit down, a, um, a lot has happened…”

Cinderella clutched her chest at hearing of the death of Phillip - “OH MY GOSH - oh phew,” She couldn’t be more relieved he was alive, but was confused as to how she was just hearing about this now… and the baby, “OH MY GOSH! Too many emotions…please tell me this is preceding good news just as was the news with Philip?!”

She wasn’t sure she could take much more bad news. She took a seat across from Aurora in the parlor, her eyes locked on her best friend, anticipating the worst. She clutched her stomach, feeling her own child kick; remembering the awful curse that Maleficent had placed on them both…

She giggled softly at Cindy’s wording, but soon her smile faded as she took in her friend’s worried expression. This is going to be a tad difficult.

Sitting back down on the couch, she grabbed her sewing and nervously began to fidget with it. She gulped and took in a shaky breath, opening and closing her mouth multiple times as she tried to begin explaining.

“Well, Phillip and I had a small fight after I had my alteration with Maleficent and had my, erm, my burns. I’m healed now, quite obviously,” she spread out her arms and pulled back her sleeves to show the still slightly pink skin. “We made up and we were spending some time in the library together when she just- she just appeared!”

She looked at her tightly clasped fingers, took a deep breath and continued. “She turned Phillip’s sword into this venomous viper that bit him. He-he,” she raised a hand to her mouth, blinking back tears at the memory, “He died right in my arms,” she whispered.

Cindy watched Aurora intently as she fidgeted with anything and everything she could get her hands on. “There must be something I could do to help,” she thought. But, as soon as she outstretched her hand to Aurora’s; a sign of calming, Aurora spoke, and Cindy listened.

She had tears of her own welling up in her eyes upon hearing of this… “Oh Aurora, that’s just simply awful…but…you said he is alive…how ever is that possible?” She glanced towards her best friends stomach.. “…And…the baby?”

Cindy giggled and looked at the floor, “I was kinda expecting that to be your reaction; even the guards were surprised to see me…”

She raised her eyes and locked them on Aurora’s. She sighed and as she exhaled she let out a mumble of words that even she couldn’t fully comprehend.

“Aurora I’m so sorry, I haven’t, but I’ve just, and we, and I’m sorry, and we haven’t, and I, Charming said, but no, I couldn’t, and I’m sorry, and can we? No? Okay, well I don’t know maybe….”

Standing with her mouth agape, she merely stared as Cindy rushed her words. From the whole thing, the inky she could understand werethe words, “I’m sorry.”

Her eyes teared up, a wide smile splitting across her face. With a small cry of happiness, she threw her arms around the older woman. “I’m so sorry too, Cindy! I didn’t want to- but then Mal- and then the baby and Phillip- but I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to!”

Tears streamed down her face as she hugged her best friend tightly. After their embrace, she chuckled a little at the emotional reunion.

“So…do tell me, how is Phillip, and the baby, and heavens, dear, how are you?!”

Finally Making Up.

the-gleam-in-your-eyes:

Cinderella’s carriage traveled down the bumpy path to Aurora’s castle at a steady pace. She let out a great sigh as her ride emerged from the forest and the castle came into view. It’d been ages since she’d been in Aurora’s kingdom, let alone seen Aurora. The two, of course, haven’t been on the greatest of terms as of late. That was why she was here. To make things right.

The carriage slowed and came to a halt by the front entrance to the castle. Cinderella emerged and glanced up towards Aurora’s bedroom, hoping to catch a glimpse of her golden haired best friend. Nothing.

She ascended the stairs to the large front doors, giving a nod and a sweet smile to each of the guards that stood before her. Just as she was about to knock, the front doors swung open to reveal another guard, looking very disgruntled, yet very relieved to see Cinderella standing before him.

“My lady, I wondered how long it would be before I saw you here; it’s a pleasure. She’s just through here…in the Parlor.”

Cindy followed him down the hall and to the parlor where he knocked on the heavy door, then disappeared around the corner. Cinderella waited alone for her friend to open the door. She took in a deep breath as her heart began to beat furiously; wondering how her friend would react…

Concentrated on her sewing once more, she hadn’t noticed the carriage come into the castle grounds. She has vaguely registered the thud of the doors opening and closing, but didn’t think much of it.

Maybe she could go see Cinderella once Phillip was better. They could both go together, maybe if Phillip and Charming were present it could help make the apologies go…smoother.

She sighed and looked around the parlor, worrying her lip as she thought about it more.

Then again, Phillip and Charming didn’t tend to help ease any tensions between the two blondes. They usually opted to stand back and let then work things out.

She pushed the negative thoughts out of her mind, grunting as she stood from the couch. She would get some tea and think about happier things. No big deal.

However, she heard the knock at parlor door. Raising an eyebrow, she opened the door quickly.

“Yes, how may I-” She gasped and stared wide-eyed at the blonde. “Ci-Cinderella. I, um, I wasn’t expecting you…”

The Wind in your hair kinda guy: she-was-real said: Eric chuckled at the some what frazzled Cinderella. Eric had not seen her in a while nor had he seen...

she-was-real:

tilltheclockstrikestwelve:

tilltheclockstrikestwelve:

-She smiled at Prince Eric. He was ever so kind.- “Eric, dear!” -She curtsied lightly- “It certainly has been far too long! I’m doing well, just preparing everyone for Spring! And how are you and Ariel doing? I haven’t seen her in ages!”

-She crossed the room…

-As the sunlight enveloped the room, Cinderella beamed. The smile quickly faded from her face when she heard that Ariel had not been seen in weeks- “My goodness, are you certain nothings happened to her? Do you think we should gather a search party and go look for her? Has she gone by herself?

-She shook her head and chuckled to herself. She, of all people, should not be judging Ariel for going off on her own…Cindy had done it plenty of times, even while carrying Charming’s baby! And look where it got her, kidnapped by a dragon, ruining the relationship behind her and her best friend, and being the reason for a terrible curse that was placed upon her child. Eric was right, Ariel was probably just exploring! She was much better at staying out of trouble than Cindy and Aurora.-

“Yes, I suppose you’re right. She’s probably just exploring!” -She shrugged and giggled- “You know me, always the worrier!”

Eric couldnt help but chuckle as he shook his head. He was used to Ariels tendancies of going off on her own that he had to grow accoustumed to that. He just had to remind himself that other people werent. “No Cinderella Im sure shes fine. I would know if she wasnt.” Or so he liked to believe.

“But please tell me how everything has been here with you. Hows Charming? I havent seen him in a long time.”

It would be good to catch up, maybe they could have a chat for a while. Just talk about things that have happened while during the time that they havent seen each other.

-She chuckled him and offered him a seat in the parlor, a palace servant quick to bring them tea and cookies- “I’m sure you’re right; Ariel’s always the one looking for some kind of new adventure!”

-She took a cookie from the tray and smiled; thinking of her husband- “Oh, Charming’s doing just lovely! He’s actually off right now negotiating a business deal with a nearby kingdom. He should be returning within the week! I just can’t wait for him to see what I’ve done with the castle!”

-Cindy enjoyed talking to Eric. It was nice to have someone to just sit and chat with while Charming was away and goodness, she hadn’t seen Aurora in forever; she’d sent a messenger over her way later, but for now, she was enjoying the company of Prince Eric. It was a nice feeling, to not feel lonely.-
